What does a positive person mean? Do employers welcome workaholics? Why don't all Russians like the word manager? What is the “secret” of negative evaluation of the expression an effective manager?
Why has it become fashionable in modern names to use the adjective Soviet - "Soviet ice cream", "Soviet house of dumplings"? We will try to answer these and many other questions in our lecture. Date: December 11, 2020 at 18.00 hours. (+7 hours from UTC (UTC + 7) and +4 hours from Moscow time (MSK + 4).
Different cultures have their own classics. Dante is for Italy, Goethe is for Germany, Shakespeare is for England, Pushkin is for Russia.
"Pushkin is our everything!" / "Pushkin is not our everything";
“Pushkin is an extraordinary phenomenon and, perhaps, the only phenomenon of the Russian spirit” / “Pushkin is an ordinary salon poet who is hopelessly outdated”;
“Most of all I would like to be like Pushkin” / “And who will screw the light bulb in? - Pushkin or who ???”.Why are the ratings so different? Why doesn't the struggle of opinions end? Why is Pushkin becoming a standard and a model of literature for some, and for others – he is a synonym for tiresome and outdated reading?
Referring to school essays, reviews of foreign students, speeches of publicists and writers, Nobel laureates, Alexey Kozlov will demonstrate the process of “turning” a life and creativity into “gold” and “standard”. The course participants will have a journey to the world of Google Books, work with Ruscorpora, Slovari.ru and Google Ngram Viewer.
Participation is voluntary and free of charge for everyone.
